Precision Signs, founded by the Balton brothers, has earned a reputation for professionalism and quality craftsmanship. It is a full service licensed and bonded custom sign contractor with a primary service area of Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, also handling national accounts. Brothers Jeff and Scott Balton are carrying on their family tradition as sixth generation sign manufacturers. Precision Signs offers easy turn key design and build services for clients. Capabilities include CAD-CAM vinyl graphics, 3-D illuminated letters, neon, LED message centers, vehicle wraps, plastic face, wall, pylon, and interior signs. In 1875, their ancestor D.F. Balton founded Balton & Sons in Memphis, TN. Most of Memphis' billboards, theater marquees, and street signs during the early 1900's were the work of Balton & Sons. The Balton family was the manufacturer of the famous Holiday Inn sign in the 1950's. As the city grew and times changed, so did the family and business. Sign technology moved from hand painted signs to the use of plastics, neon, LCD panels, and computers. Each generation of the Balton family benefited from the experiences of the past while contributing new ideas.
